The honest version, upfront
Every Nijan product is made to order — printed especially for you when you place your order. This means we don't hold stock, and each piece is created specifically for the person who ordered it. Because of this, our return policy is more limited than a standard retail store — but we've written it as plainly as we can so you know exactly where you stand before you buy.
What we will always make right
If something goes wrong on our end or our fulfillment partner's end, we fix it. Full stop.
We'll replace or refund your order if:
- The product arrives with a manufacturing defect — poor stitching, fabric damage, or a quality issue with the garment itself
- The print is defective — significant fading, cracking, smudging, misalignment, or the wrong design was printed
- The wrong product was sent — wrong size, wrong colour, or wrong item entirely
- Your order was lost in transit — confirmed as lost by the courier, not just delayed
How to claim:
Contact us at [your email] or WhatsApp us at [your number] within 7 days of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the issue
- An unboxing video if possible — this significantly speeds up resolution
We'll get back to you within 24–48 hours with a resolution.
What we cannot accept returns for
We want to be upfront about this rather than hide it in fine print:
- Wrong size ordered — please check our size guide carefully before ordering. If you've ordered the wrong size, we can help you place a new order but cannot refund the original.
- Change of mind — once an order is placed, it goes into production and cannot be cancelled or returned without a defect reason.
- Minor colour variation — screen colours and printed colours can differ slightly. This is standard in print-on-demand and is not considered a defect.
- Size measurement tolerance of ±0.5 inches — this is standard in apparel manufacturing and does not qualify for a return or refund.
- Damage caused during unboxing — if the product is cut or damaged while opening the package, we're unable to process a claim without an unboxing video showing the damage was pre-existing.
Sizing — please read before ordering
Getting the right size is the most important thing you can do before placing an order, because size exchanges involve placing a new order at your own cost.
- Every product page has a Size Guide link — please use it
- Our size charts show garment measurements, not body measurements — add 2–4 inches to your body chest for a regular fit, 4–6 inches for a relaxed/oversized feel
- If you're between sizes, we recommend going one size up for oversized styles and staying true to size for regular fit styles

COD orders — specific note
For Cash on Delivery orders:
- Please ensure you or someone at the address is available to receive the order — undelivered COD orders are returned to our warehouse and cannot be re-shipped without a new shipping charge
- If a defect or error is confirmed on a COD order, your refund will be processed as a bank transfer or UPI payment within 5–7 working days — we'll contact you for your bank details
RTO (Return to Origin) orders
If your order is returned to our warehouse because delivery wasn't possible (wrong address, no one available, COD not ready, pincode became unserviceable):
- We'll contact you to arrange re-delivery — re-shipping charges apply
- If you'd prefer not to re-ship, we can process a partial refund (product cost only — original shipping charges are non-refundable)
- RTO orders are held for 100 days at our fulfillment warehouse before being discarded
Exchanges
We don't process direct exchanges. If you need a different size or colour:
- Contact us and we'll help you place a new order
- If the original order had a defect that qualifies under our policy above, the replacement is at no cost to you
- If it's a preference change or wrong size ordered, the new order is at your expense
Shipping charges on returns
- Defective or wrong item — we cover all costs, no charge to you
- Wrong size ordered / change of mind — shipping costs are your responsibility
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable in all cases
